Transportation

Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) are the two main airports.
Use Istanbulkart for public transport (metro, tram, bus, ferry).
Taxis are available, but prefer BiTaksi or Uber to avoid scams.
Avoid taxis that refuse to use a meter or offer a “fixed price.”

Language

Turkish is the official language. Many people, especially in tourist areas, speak basic English.
