Saklikent Canyon, Turkey

Saklikent Canyon located on Eşen Stream near Antalya – Muğla is an important beauty that should be seen. I always had the impression that we were walking on the pier in the photographs. That was just the introduction. Afterwards it continues as a mud bath in the creek. Antalya is an area that is easy to reach for those living in the Mugla side. At the same time, national parks are protected. The canyon is 18km long and the narrowest is about 2meters. You may have difficulty seeing the sky. It is not necessary to walk through the entire canyon. You can walk around and go back. For more photos, you can browse Saklikent Canyon Photos.

Recommendations

Do not go in with shoes. There will not be a comfortable walk in shoes for you to bathe in plenty of water. Sandals etc are good but this time the stones that are stuck together will disturb you. There are a lot of slippers rented at the entrance of the canyon. Do not wear someone else’s sweat. This is the most logical and convenient. In slippers alone, your feet may sink into the mud and the slippers may disappear in the mud when you take your feet. You should pay attention to that. After the walk you can drink tea and eat corn at the entrance of the canyon. You can go backwards from the point you are challenged. Otherwise go to the canyon very long, almost a Patara beach.
