In the south of the country, on the so-called “Turkish Riviera,” lies Antalya, one of the most visited coastal cities by both domestic and international tourists. Famous for its turquoise beaches, cliffs, and its old town called Kaleiçi, Antalya perfectly combines nature, history, and leisure.

The historic center is a labyrinth of cobbled streets, restored Ottoman houses, mosques, churches, and ancient walls. From the old harbor, you can take tourist boats offering tours along the coast.

Trabzon: The Green Beauty of the Black Sea

In the north, on the shores of the Black Sea, lies Trabzon, a city that offers a completely different landscape from the south or west. Here, green mountains reach almost to the sea, and the climate is more humid and rainy, giving the region lush vegetation.

Bodrum, on the southwest coast of the country, is synonymous with exclusive vacations, nightlife, and art. But it is also a city with a fascinating past. Ancient Halicarnassus was the birthplace of the historian Herodotus and the place where the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, was built.

Today, Bodrum is famous for its white houses, its castle, its marinas filled with yachts, and its crystal-clear waters. Furthermore, it is an ideal starting point for boat trips along the hidden coves of the Aegean.

Mersin: The City of Citrus Fruits

Located on the Mediterranean coast, Mersin is a less touristy but economically very important city. It has one of the largest commercial ports in the country. It is known for its agricultural production, especially citrus fruits.

Among its attractions are Kızkalesi beach, with its famous castle in the middle of the sea, and the archaeological sites of Soli Pompeiopolis.

Çeşme and Fethiye: Coastal Charms

Çeşme, located west of Izmir, is known for its thermal waters, white sandy beaches, and constant wind. Fethiye, on the southwest coast, is famous for the Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz and for being one of the favorite destinations for paragliding and hiking enthusiasts.
