This tour package is perfect for those who want to experience the rich Turkish culture while enjoying a relaxing beach holiday on the Mediterranean coast. Our well-organized itinerary includes the top sights of Istanbul and Antalya, followed by some well-deserved relaxation on the beautiful beaches of Antalya.

Day 1 – Arrival in Istanbul

Upon your arrival in Istanbul, our driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After checking in, our agency representative will provide you with all the details of the tour. You’ll then have the rest of the day to explore the city at your leisure and discover some of its main attractions. If you wish, we can arrange a traditional Turkish bath (hammam) for you(extra cost), offering a perfect way to relax and unwind after your journey.

Day 2 – Best of Istanbul

After your breakfast at the hotel, your guide will meet you and you will start a day of discovering the amazing monuments of the old city. Here are the places you will visit on this day:

Hagia Sophia:
Start your exploration of Istanbul with a visit to the iconic Hagia Sophia. Built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian between 532-537, this magnificent structure has stood as a symbol of both Christian and Islamic heritage. Originally a church, later transformed into a mosque, and now a museum and mosque, Hagia Sophia is a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture. Its awe-inspiring design, grand dome, and rich history make it one of the most significant buildings in the world.

Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Mosque):
Just a short walk from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque is one of the most renowned landmarks in Istanbul. Built by Sultan Ahmed I between 1609-1617, it is celebrated for its impressive domes, stunning courtyards, and its six slender minarets, which are unique in the world. Inside, the mosque’s intricate tilework gives it the nickname “Blue Mosque” due to the blue tiles that adorn its interior.

Hippodrome and Obelisks:
Next, we visit the ancient Hippodrome, now known as Sultanahmet Square, which was once the center of Byzantine life and the site of chariot races. The square is home to several important monuments, including the Egyptian Obelisk and the Serpentine Column, which date back to the Byzantine era. These historical treasures offer a glimpse into the grandeur of the past.

Grand Bazaar:
No visit to Istanbul is complete without a trip to the Grand Bazaar, the largest and oldest covered market in the world. Established in 1460 by Sultan Mehmed II, the Grand Bazaar spans 30,700 square meters and is home to over 4,000 shops. You’ll have time to wander through its vibrant alleys, where you can shop for traditional Turkish goods such as carpets, spices, jewelry, and antiques. Take a break for lunch with one hour of free time to relax.

Topkapi Palace:
In the afternoon, visit the Topkapi Palace, a stunning complex built by Sultan Mehmed II in 1478. For nearly 400 years, Topkapi served as the heart of the Ottoman Empire, housing the sultans and their court. The palace is a fascinating blend of opulence and history, with its courtyards, kitchens, harem, and imperial collections. The expansive palace complex covers 80,000 square meters and is home to priceless artifacts, including the famous Topkapi Dagger and the Spoonmaker’s Diamond. (Closed on Tuesdays, you might visit Basilica Cistern instead.)

Day 3 – Exploring Istanbul & Bosphorus Cruise

On your third day in Istanbul, we’re happy to customize your itinerary based on your preferences. Our guide will be available to assist with any requests, but we highly recommend visiting the vibrant areas of Taksim Square and the iconic Galata Tower. Another must-do experience is a Bosphorus cruise, where you can explore both the European and Asian sides of the strait. Whether on a scenic boat ride or a private yacht, the Bosphorus offers stunning views of historic mansions, palaces, mosques, and landmarks, all set against the backdrop of the Marmara Sea and its beautiful bridges.

Day 4 – Flight to Antalya & Exploring the City

You will be transferred to Istanbul Airport for arrival to Antalya. After arriving in Antalya and checking into your hotel, your guide will meet you and take you on a tour of the city’s historic old town.

Morning:

Kaleiçi (Old Town): Begin your day by wandering through the charming Kaleiçi, Antalya’s ancient old town. Explore its narrow cobblestone streets, Ottoman-era houses, and picturesque alleys filled with local shops, cafes, and galleries. You’ll also visit Hadrian’s Gate, a majestic Roman triumphal arch.
Hıdırlık Tower: From Kaleiçi, head to Hıdırlık Tower, a historic structure offering stunning panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean coastline.

Lunch:

Enjoy a traditional Turkish meal at a local restaurant in Kaleici, with lovely views of the harbor.
Afternoon:

Antalya Archaeological Museum: After lunch, visit the Antalya Archaeological Museum, one of the country’s most important museums. It features a vast collection of artifacts from the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods, showcasing the region’s rich history.
If time permits, take a short trip to the Düden Waterfalls, just outside the city center, for a refreshing natural escape amidst lush greenery.
This day is designed to give you a perfect blend of history, culture, and natural beauty in Antalya.

Day 5 – Relaxing on Antalya’s Beaches

Today is yours to unwind and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Antalya. Spend the day soaking up the sun, swimming in the Mediterranean, or indulging in any water activities you choose. You can either stay overnight in Antalya or, if you prefer, take an afternoon flight back to Istanbul on your fifth evening.

Day 6 – Shopping in Istanbul & Departure

Istanbul offers a wide range of shopping experiences, from traditional souvenir shops to modern shopping malls. Our team is happy to assist you in finding the best shopping spots in the city, tailored to your preferences.

In the afternoon, your driver will pick you up from your hotel at least 3.5 hours before your flight to ensure a smooth transfer to the airport.

As you depart, you’ll leave with unforgettable memories of your 6-day journey through Istanbul and Antalya. For more personalized tours and custom travel plans in Turkey, don’t hesitate to contact us!
